As a member of our team whom is passionate about and specialized in speech language pathology and programming, it has always been a dream of her to create an app that can assist speech language pathologists (SLPs) in making their work easier. This includes tasks like making assessments, tracking patient progress, making plans, and finding important references for their sessions.
To pursue this dream, she reached out to some SLPs asking them about the tasks that they find tiring and time consuming during their work. One of the most time-consuming tasks was searching for information about language development milestones based on a patient's age. Currently, they have to search through papers to find this information, but would prefer an electronic tool that makes the search process easier.
As a result, we decided to develop a website to solve this problem. We developed the website and added scientific resources that allow SLPs to easily search for information based on a patient's age.
we hope to expand the website's functionality by allowing SLPs to create accounts with various features that help them keep track of patient progress and document their work.
